The Heart of Calm Staying Practice Day
September 10th, 2022
This practice day is a heart-centered integration of Shakyamuni Buddha’s Tranquil Wisdom Jnanas and Maitreya’s Nine Stages of Calm Staying. We will review and strengthen our fundamental capacity to calm the mind, and stabilize the attention while also gaining insight into the reactive conditioning that causes us suffering and distraction. As the stability of mind deepens we will shift from staying on sensations, and breath to staying as the inherent open dimension of being. Our practice day will include teachings, guided meditation and Q&A related to personal practice.
